One of our most popular jewellers, Lincoln based Amanda Coleman creates delicate precious metal jewellery inspired by botany, and the animal kingdom.
Amanda grew up in Staunton Harold in Leicestershire, in the grounds of an old stately home amongst a community of creatives. She was always making, from clay animals which she sold for pocket money, to buttons and beads which she sold to shops in Derby and Nottingham.
“I always knew I’d have a career making small things and I chose to study jewellery, graduating in 1998 from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in Metalwork and Jewellery. I now spend my days immersed in a world full of little gold and silver animals, sculpted flowers, tropical plants and insects. Creating wearable natural worlds, full of intricate detail and moving parts, that can take your imagination off to far off places.”
