Jim Partridge

Jim Partridge has been working with wood for almost forty-years. He and his partner Liz Walmsley are regarded as two of the most accomplished British wood artists, making work ranging from small objects for the home to monumental outdoor pieces.

Their intention is to make ‘pieces with a strong but quiet presence’. For our Christmas showcase, Jim has carved a series of small bowls from green oak, scorched and polished to a lustrous black finish.
