Many of you may recognise Naomi as an expert member of the Harley team, teaching several of our pottery courses. For the first time we are delighted to have Naomi’s ceramics here in the Harley Shop. “I’m so excited to be sharing the pieces I’ve poured my heart into and releasing them for sale.”
Based in Nottingham, Naomi is a young maker who creates both functional and decorative pottery inspired by nature. For her first Shop collection, Naomi has specially made a pack of ceramic dogs to coincide with our exhibition A Dog’s Life. These miniature figurines and vases are full of breed-specific character and special doggie charm.
“I’ve been working in my home shed-udio at the bottom of my garden with my assistants (my dog Smudge and three chickens, Pumpkin, Tallulah and Buttercup) since I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2020. Working with clay feels right. The way a ball of earth can be transformed into a beautiful object that can last forever is incredibly magical to me.”
