Honour your Christmas tree this year with eco-conscious decorations which double up as playthings for curious little hands.
‘O_wow’ is an acronym for ‘Our World of Wood’, and is an independent woodwork company based in Moray, Scotland. Alistair McNab founded O_wow in 2017, with a focus on repurposing materials and reducing the impact of discarded materials. Using sustainably sourced solid wood, Alistair hand-crafts objects which are both decorative objects for the home, but also objects for children to encourage open-ended, imaginative play.
Each design is made using a variety of contrasting woods which are locally sourced and FSC Certified. They are hand turned before being finished with eco-friendly, child safe, natural wood wax to protect from any dirt, dust and liquids.
New for this year, Alistair’s wooden decorations take the form of acorns, mushrooms, or trees. Equally at home on the Christmas tree, as in little hands, on car mirrors, or handbags. These silky to touch little objects are as delightful to look at as to hold in the hand.
