RE was founded by Jenny Vaughan and Simon Young. Both left careers in fashion design armed with years of experience designing and developing collections and a vision to set up shop selling fairtrade lifestyle and home accessories.

On the 7th of November 2003, in a converted industrial space at the back of a filling station in Corbridge, in Northumberland, they opened their doors selling an eclectic mix of REfound, raRE, REmarkable, REcycled, REscued and REstored objects for the home. The shop won numerous awards including House & Garden Independent Shop of the year 2025.

Jenny and Simon have developed their own range of unique products which they design in-house and have produced by local crafts people around the world, including this range of sturdy and vibrant baskets. The mouthwatering designs and colourways were designed by Jenny and Simon before being interpreted by skilled crafts people working in a fairtrade environment in Guatemala.  Perfect for picnics, shopping, beach trips, or looking gorgeous around the home, they are long-lasting, practical pieces of eye-candy.
