Introduction to Pottery

6-week pottery course
Friday mornings

A weekly 6-part pottery course designed for beginners who are looking to get a taste and understanding of working with clay.

Each week you will learn different ways to hand-build with clay. You will learn pinch, coiling and slab-building techniques and a grounding in surface texture and colour.

There will be a set skill each week that can be interpreted in your own personal style.

Sessions take place on Friday mornings, 10 am – 12.30 pm.

This beginners pottery class takes part over 6 consecutive weeks, starting on your booked date.

The course fee includes all clay, plus glazing and firing for up to 6 items.

There is an additional charge if you would like to glaze and fire additional items, which is charged by object size:

6” cubed – £4
9” cubed – £6
12” cubed – £10

There is also the option to stay on for Self-Guided Studio Access if you wish to extend your studio time. This is not a taught session; tutor support will be available if you need a hand. (Additional fees apply.)
