Step into an exhibition full of paws and personality this summer at the Harley Gallery.

A Dog’s Life brings together over 100 works by international artists, illustrators and designers who take inspiration from man’s best friend. From photography to sculpture, textiles to traditional painting, this exhibition explores how our pets can become muses, collaborators and inspiration for art.

The show is suitable for all ages and makes a the paw-fect summer day out for families, art lovers and dog enthusiasts alike.

Visitors can expect to see a life-sized crocheted hound by Shauna Richardson, Instagram-famous illustrations by Rafael Mantesso, and Gerrard Gethings’ portraits of dogs and their human lookalikes. Work by well-known artists such as Sophie Ryder, David Shrigley and William Wegman will also be on show.

Alongside the artworks, families can enjoy interactive elements including a ‘name the breed’ trail, craft activities, and a digital feature where you can see yourself as a dog.

Visiting with your dog?

Only service dogs are permitted in the Harley Gallery, but we have plenty of dog clips outside to secure your furry friends whilst you visit.

You can also let them run free in Welbeck’s new dog park, or take them on a tail-wagging walk on our Art Trail.
