Print, paint, and draw your own creative family portraits in this relaxed workshop for children ages 7-16 and their parent or guardian.
You will learn
Learn fun ways to create portraits of your family members with a rotation of activities to inspire your artwork. You will be given the skills and encouragement to experiment with different techniques, such as the practice of mark-making, to create your masterpieces.
Try your hand at printing, painting and drawing in ways that you may not expect with various materials. This family workshop is a great way to encourage your child (and yourself) to think differently, hone motor skills, and develop observational skills in a creative and supportive environment.
Techniques covered include:
- Observation and studying a sitter
- Unusual ways to print and paint
- Mark making
