Family Workshop: Weave a Basket

For ages 7+
11 April 2025

Join us for a creative weaving workshop for children aged 7+ and their parent or guardian.

In this session, children will create their own basket using colourful wool – perfect for storing chocolate eggs or foraging for flowers.

First they will explore our new basketry exhibition, gathering inspiration for their piece before weaving colourful yarn to form their finished baskets. This is the perfect mindful session to develop fine motor skills.

If parents and guardians want to get involved and your child is confident working alone additional materials can be purchased as a £4 add-on.
