Join us for a final chance to explore Basketry: Rescuing, Reviving, Retaining – with basketmaker, exhibitor, and curator Clare Revera as your guide.
In this informal walk and talk Clare will lead you through the exhibition, reflecting on its three central themes: rescuing, reviving and retaining. As an exhibitor, Clare has several works featured in the show, and also curated a section of the display.
Drawing on her wealth of basketry knowledge and enthusiasm, Clare will explore the stories behind key works, such as the Llangwm Fisherwoman’s Back Pannier – traditionally made by the husbands of the women who carried them. She will discuss techniques and materials, and bring the exhibition to life, offering you a fresh perspective on this vibrant and wide-ranging show, just before it closes.
As this is a walk and talk event, seating will not be provided as standard. If you have accessibility requirements or require a seat, please reach out to us on education@harleyfoundation.org.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.
