Harley Young Artists

Creative workshops for ages 11-16
21 November 2026

Harley Young Artists gives young people ages 11-16 the chance to get hands on with the artists who exhibit in our gallery to learn what they do, and how they do it!

Young people will work with professional artists, develop new skills and gain an insight into a range of creative careers. During the creative workshops, they might learn endangered basketry techniques from a traditional basketmaker, make a colourful mural with a contemporary fine artist, cast molten pewter under the instruction of a professional jeweller, and much more.

Tickets for these sessions will be released in our e-newsletter; sign up to be the first to hear when we announce new dates.

Upcoming session dates

21 November: Explore the visionary world of Margaret Cavendish through creative writing and art. Learn how to combine words and pictures to create visual poetry and stories inspired by themes as diverse as celebrity, science fiction and the sustainability of our world. Ask big questions as you get to know Margaret and her radical mind, and see where her life and writings take you.
