A 15-hour introductory course perfect for those who have completed our Introduction to Pottery course, or as a stand-alone for beginners.
This pottery course is for those wanting to gain hand-building experience.
Each week you will spend time exploring different coiling and slab-building techniques, along with surface and colour applications. These skills will build up to give you a good grounding for further explorations with clay. There will be set skills which you will be encouraged to interpret in your own style.
Sessions take place on Friday mornings, 10 am – 12.30 pm.
This beginners pottery class takes part over 6 consecutive weeks, starting on your booked date.
The course fee includes all clay, plus glazing and firing for up to 6 items.
There is an additional charge if you would like to glaze and fire additional items, which is charged by object size:
6” cubed – £4
9” cubed – £6
12” cubed – £10
There is also the option to stay on for Self-Guided Studio Access if you wish to extend your studio time. This is not a taught session; tutor support will be available if you need a hand. (Additional fees apply.)
