Drop into our making studio
10am – 4pm
FREE
We invite you to get creative in our free family space, repurposing everyday items into works of art for our community art installation.
This activity is inspired by our new exhibition, People’s Art, which displays historic pieces of folk art by unnamed artists alongside the work of five contemporary artists.
As you add to our peg doll display, we invite you be be a part of centuries of quiet creativity, and consider ‘who are the unknown makers of yesterday, today and tomorrow?’
On Saturdays you’ll be joined by one of the Harley’s team, who will be happy to help you get hands on and learn some new skills and techniques for free. These will range from crafting with clay, to learning how to emboss metal – see the full schedule below.
This interactive space is a great opportunity to stretch your crafting skills and use materials you might not have before – perfect for crafty children and arty adults!
