The stages of throwing a cylinder on the potter’s wheel, including coning, centring, and lifting the walls of your pot.
The names and uses for various pottery tools, such as a rib and wire and how to use them.
You will need
This is an adult session, perfect for complete beginners, or those who have attended any of our other introductory courses. You must be aged 14+ to attend, all under 18’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
We recommend trimming your nails prior to the session, removing any jewellery, and tying back long hair.
Additional information
The session cost includes all materials, tools and clay, plus glazing and firing for two of your finished pots.
There are just 4 places on each session, which will offer a high level of one-on-one teaching and a close-knit studio experience.
We will contact you when your pots are ready to collect from our museum, this can take up to 6-weeks. If you haven’t heard from us within this time, please contact us.
Please note, we cannot guarantee that pots made during our December taster sessions will be ready to collect before Christmas.
